Joint Biobank

About JBB

TMU Joint Biobank (TMU-JBB) was established in June 2010 by TMU and affiliated hospitals (Taipei Medical University Hospital, TMUH; Wan Fang Hospital, WFH; Shung-Ho Hospital, SHH) and has been operating under a single consolidated research information system (RIS).
The TMU-JBB is an archive for systematized collection of human biological specimens in supporting biomedical research and other applications and it has three physical bio-repositories at three TMU affiliated hospitals with a storage of approximately 70,000 specimens (as of Oct 2017) including tissues, blood, and body fluids from a variety of cancer patients.

Services provided:
  • Biological specimen application, committee review, biological specimen transportation.
  • Biobank quality control and technical operations.
  • Academic speeches and conferences.
